Got Questions?
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and their respective answers below to make sure you have access to all the information you require. If these FAQs do not include your question, please contact your affiliate manager via email or by clicking here.
General
Do I have to agree to the Terms and Conditions to become an affiliate?
Yes. We kindly request that you take the time to read through the Terms and Conditions prior to registering as an affiliate. You can find our Terms and Conditions here.
Which countries do you accept players from?
Because the target audience of our brand is Germany, we only accept players who are registered as resident in Germany. We also recommend that you get in contact with your affiliate manager to discuss the most important terms and conditions regarding this topic
How long does it take for my affiliate manager to get back to me regarding general questions?
We strive to respond as soon as possible, but no later than two business days after we have received your request. Please note that processing times at weekends and on public holidays may be longer than usual.
Which types of commission do you offer?
We offer the CPA (cost per acquisition) model in order to fulfil all requirements of the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag 2021.
CPA is a one-time payment for a referred player. It is usually tied to an action taken by the referred player, such as registering or staking a certain amount of money in a specific game. Once the relevant criteria are met, the affiliate is awarded a commission amount tied to the respective action. There are several configurations of commission criteria, which are explained in detail in the commission list that has been assigned to you.
How do I know which type of commission is assigned to me?
Unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon in advance, a partner will be assigned a standard commission, which you can view in the “My Campaign” section of your account. Partners have the opportunity to discuss commission agreements with their manager as well as reach an agreement. It is recommended that all discussions regarding commission agreements be documented in writing and, for security purposes, also be sent to both the partner and the manager via email.
Your agreement will be displayed in the partner portal once you are a member of our partner programme, listing all criteria for your information. These criteria are clearly defined; however, if you have any questions, please contact your affiliate manager directly to clarify the details of your agreement.
What is expressly prohibited when advertising the StarGames brand?
There are several obligations which arise from the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag and our licence which you must comply with in connection with our brand:
- You are not allowed to use the terms “casino” and/or “casino games” in your marketing material.
- Your marketing must never target minors.
- Your website/platform that displays our brand (i.e. which is aimed at German customers) may – in addition to our brand – only advertise and display other providers licensed in Germany. The list of these licensed providers is available on the regulatory authority’s official website: https://gluecksspiel-behoerde.de/de/fuer-spielende/uebersicht-erlaubter-anbieter-whitelist
- You are required to place a clearly visible notice, statement or disclaimer on your website that informs visitors that you will receive a payment/commission for displaying affiliate links.
Is there a specific time period during which I am not allowed to advertise the StarGames brand?
If you can set time periods during which your advertisements are visible online, then according to the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag 2021 these ads may only be displayed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. (GMT+1).
Am I allowed to send out a personalised newsletter campaign for your brand?
This is only possible if you have received the express permission for a personalised campaign from the individuals on your mailing list. If you only have a mailing list that does not contain information on whether the listed individuals have opted into personalised communication, then you may not use this list for any campaigns involving our brand.
Can I conduct a cold-calling campaign to promote your brand?
No. It is strictly forbidden to promote our brand via cold calling (calling people who have neither given you nor us the explicit permission to contact them in this way).
What else should I be aware of?

Tracking
What is a campaign?
A campaign is an individually created marketing initiative through which you can track the success of your advertising efforts. A campaign allows you to create a tracking link to track the number of players that have been acquired through online marketing efforts. Each campaign includes a unique identifier, allowing us to monitor all created campaigns in a targeted manner.
Is the number of campaigns that I can create limited?
No. You can create as many campaigns as you need, and there is no time limit on campaigns.
Where and how can I create campaigns?
Campaigns can be created in the “Campaigns” section of your account. Therein you will find various fields and drop-down menus that allow you to set your individual requirements. Once you have configured your desired settings, you can click the “Create” button. Subsequently, you can create the tracking link/code for your marketing efforts. You can also monitor the campaign’s progress as soon as traffic is sent via the link.
Do you offer pixel tracking?
Yes. This can be implemented during player registration, confirmation emails and deposit processes. We may also utilise placeholder tags that provide information related to the pixel.
I have multiple websites or online channels. Do I need to create multiple campaigns?
That is up to you. We offer reports and analytics for each campaign. If you want to monitor the success of your marketing initiatives separately, you can create a separate campaign for each initiative.
Is there a way to reduce the required workload if I operate many websites?
We offer the option of a SubID, also known as a dynamic parameter. This allows you to create a single campaign with an additional parameter appended to the end of a campaign link. This parameter can be dynamic and allows partners to encode their preferences for referencing certain aspects, which can then be monitored and presented in their own reports.
Marketing Material
How can I receive banners from you and place them on my website?
During the creation of a campaign, you have the option to choose a banner appropriate for the content you wish to promote. One or more banners will be available for selection. Once you have chosen your preferred banner, the respective HTML code will be available for implementation on your website. This HTML code integrates the graphic and the link to the landing page, embeds the banner and monitors the activity generated by it.
Can I create my own banners or promotional material?
This is generally not permitted. However, it is possible to obtain approval, as stated in our Terms and Conditions. This requires written permission from the affiliate manager, which can be issued after review of all self-created marketing materials.
Reports
How frequently are campaign statistics and reports updated?
Campaign statistics and reports are updated daily, every 24 hours between midnight and 2 a.m. (GMT+1).
Do you offer SubIDs and reports for these?
Yes. Once a partner uses the SubID parameter and generates traffic through it, corresponding reports can be created. You can find these in the “Reports” section of your account under the SubID report. The report can be exported in various formats, including CSV, PDF and Excel.
Payment
Which payment service providers do you use to pay commission?
We offer the option of payment via bank transfer. If you would like to suggest other payment options, please let us know by contacting your affiliate manager or via our contact form.
When is the commission paid?
The commission is calculated once a month. This calculation is based on the previous billing period or is retroactive, going back to the beginning if no other commission statement has been created yet.
Which payout requirements must be fulfilled?
All information in the “Account” section must be correct. Both contact information and payment information are required. If any information is missing or not verified, you will receive a warning in the “Account” section informing you that a payout is not possible due to incomplete information.
What happens if I do not provide my information on time?
There is no reason to worry. In this case, a recalculation will occur in the next billing period. Your commission will be cumulative, which means that it will be added to the earnings of the next billing period. We recommend checking your information before an upcoming billing period to ensure that it is complete and correct.
Is there a minimum commission payout amount?
Yes. The minimum commission payout amount is €50 per billing period. If this amount is not reached within the specified period, it will be carried over to the next billing period(s) until a total amount of €50 is reached.
How long does it take until I receive the money?
After the respective settlement date, we typically need one business day to conduct verifications followed by the transfer, which can take up to 3 business days. In the best-case scenario, the payout amounts will be credited to your account within 24 hours. However, a grace period of up to 15 days is permitted to make the payments, as stated in our Terms and Conditions.
